Michelle Yeoh is blacklisted from Myanmar
Michelle Yeoh, who has played as the Myanmar pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi for the movie, The Lady was deported from Myanmar.
Yeoh arrived at Myanmar on June 22, was also deported the same day that she arrived. Government officials claimed that she is on the blacklist but never revealed why.
Her first reaction about the deportation left the Malysian actress sad but promptly said that she doesn’t have any ill feelings against the country or any of its people.
The Lady, is the true-to-life story of Suu Kyi, who will be played by Yeoh on the upcoming movie, which will be shown in cinemas this year.
