ABS -CBN files motion to inhibits against QC judge
ABS-CBN files a motion to inhibit against the QC city judge because the latter is related to the host Willie Revillame. ABS-CBN believes that his decision will be vias about the court proceedings that Willie is involve with.
This is for the advancement of the temporary restraining order against the new show of Revillame, Wiling Willie.
The network has already filed a petition before but has been disappointed on the outcome of the case. Now they are trying to get rid of the judge so that they could continue on with what they want.
According to a press release from ABS-CBN, Judge Cortez wife Angeli Ortega is a friend of Mr. Ray Espinosa which is the incumbent president and CEO of ABC 5.
“Espinosa’s relationship with the spouse of [Judge Cortez] gives rise to the question of whether such relationship was taken advantage of [in the case] given the manner [Judge Cortez] handled the case to favor plaintiff Revillame and prejudice ABS CBN.”
