Shake Rattle and Roll XI

If you are a fellow Filipino like me then I am sure that you are already aware of Shake Rattle and Roll movies. Regal has been making this every year for about 11 years now. This December they have released another movie about this.

The movie consist of three episodes, the first on is “Lamang Lupa” which features actresses Jennica Garcia and Iya Villana, while the actors which is also in there are Mart Escuero, Rayver Cruz, and the twins Dominic and Felix Roco.

Second episode is entitled “Diablo” which is about a girl that is possess by the devil. Stars Mark Anthony Fernandez and Ma are the one is Salvador featured on this episode.

The last episode is about the wedding of Kayla (Ruffa Gutierrez) and Harold (Zoren Legazpi. It is about the vintage gown which will ruin their wedding. Supporting cast is Megan Young.

    This is one of the most predictable and unoriginal movie I have ever seen.

    I’m no Filipino film hater, it’s just that this movie is simply not worth the money!

    First story, it’s quite obvious that the concept was from the “exorcism of Emily Rose” the only difference was in the latter there is a mood build up and it can make you take the movie seriously, but you can literally laugh your ass off while watching “diablo”. I don’t know about you, but I think a demon-clown isn’t scaring anybody.

    Second story, the theme is from “hollow man”, only in the later part the hollowman (haunted wedding gown)will transform into ’sadako’ of “the ring”. Not amusing. Not even startling.

    Third story shows a group of teenagers having issues victimized by a killer monster. Of course, they where killed one by one. And at first, the brave males were skeptic. Very typical plot development.

    It will not take a movie expert to spot these kind of flaws.

    Bad special effects.
    Bad story.
    But the acting deserves some credits.

    Overall rating: 4/10
