Marian Rivera as the new Darna

GMA 7 has recently announced that Marian Rivera would be the one to fill in the role that Angel Locsin has left since she moves to the other station.
Reports said that GMA would make a solo teleserye of Darna instead of Darna teaming up with Captain Barbell to which most Filipinos are expecting before. If you don’t like the idea of Darna going solo, don’t worry because Captain Barbell would be guessing a lot on the said series. It is not yet confirmed who will be Captain Barbell in this story. It could be Richard Gutierrez or any actor as of this moment.
The management has not yet given any definite date on when it would be showing. As we already know, Marian Rivera was saddened to the fact that she is not the one who gets the role of Rosalinda (Pinay remake), it was Carla Abellana who was the daughter of 80’s actor PJ Abellana. I guess that now that Marian gets this role she would be happy even she didn’t get the Rosalinda project.
