UFC 90:Silva vs Cote

I’ve just watch the match between Patrick cote and Anderson Silva. The fight was good until the freak accident on Cote.

In the first round, Silva and Anderson is exchanging blows until Cote decided to take down Silva but the latter manage to reverse it and Silva is on top. Cote has eluded the blows by clamping the arms of his opponent. Round one clearly states who the better man is.

In the second round Cote was taken down and again eluded some blows from Silva by trying to put a submission on the arms of Silva. Silva finally decided to let Cote up, he has offered his hand to his opponent but Cote didn’t accept it. The fight ended with the two exchanging blows.

The third round is where the freak accident has happened. Before beginning the third round, Cote raise his arm and put a 3 finger sign which means that he is the only one who manage to get to third round with Silva. This is indeed a great achievement for him because no one has managed to get in the third round before until now. While Cote was sizing up Silva his leg twist and he fell down holding his leg. Cote can’t fight anymore and Silva has to be declared as the winner.
